St. Xavier’s Cathedral School Amravati was established by Most Rev. Elias Gonsalves, Bishop of Amravati in 2015. It is managed by Amravati Roman Catholic Diocesan Trust, D-4 Amravati and is located at Bishop’s House Campus, near Maltekadi surrounded by Holy Cross Convent High School and Dnyanmata High School. The serene beauty of the campus provides the children with a natural environment for learning and a wonderful ambience for their intellectual growth.
St. Xavier’s school is a Catholic Educational Institution named after St. Francis Xavier, the great saintly scholar. The education at St. Xavier’s is invariably inspired by the vision of St. Francis Xavier drawn from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ as presented in the gospels and proclaimed by the Church. The school motto is “Ad Lux et Spes” (Towards Light and Hope). Every Xarvierite in coming to St. Xavier’s is in search of true knowledge that will enhance his or her personality, bringing a wholesome light and hope to his or her life.
There are 662 children studying from Class I - Class X academic during the current academic year 2020-21. The experienced and dedicated staff of the school always strives and ensures that the children get the maximum out of their education in the school.

St. Xavier’s Cathedral School is a private, independent and co-educational school, founded in June 2015 by Rt. Rev. Elias Gonsalves, Bishop of Amravati along with the priests of the Catholic Diocese of Amravati. St. Xavier’s Cathedral School aims invariably at the integral formation of the young and strives continually after excellence in every field.
St. Xavier’s endeavors to impart to the students the principles of social justice, equality of opportunity, genuine freedom and respect for religious and moral values enshrined in the Constitution of India so that all the people live in keeping with their dignity and self-respect. It creates an environment which generates an aptitude of learning, habit of critical thinking and promotion of competency-based and outcome-based learning.
The aim of St. Xavier’s Cathedral School is the holistic development of all its pupils - intellectual, physical, moral, spiritual, emotional, and social and the formation of upright and responsible citizens of our nation.
